## **Permissionless**

Mu Exchange is an innovative leverage trading platform operating on Gnosis Chain, a truly decentralized and permissionless chain run by thousands of ordinary people around the globe.&#x20;

## **Yield-Bearing Collateral**

<figure><img src="https://2024118553-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fhkk24UgeI6bjHsCZu58N%2Fuploads%2FFMowiX5TFPbak8cZRt9y%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b7ec9085-0c86-4fdb-b53d-859ad99c888d" alt=""><figcaption><p>Earn as you trade!</p></figcaption></figure>

We are the first Perpetual Decentralized Exchange (Perp DEX) to offer leverage trading with a yield-bearing token ($sDAI) as collateral. Users can continue earning their DAI Saving Rate yield when trading even after opening positions.&#x20;

Are you choosing between putting your money into stable saving products OR ape-ing tokens for the next 100x? Why not both at the same time at Mu!? Don't just trade, earn-as-you-trade!

## **TripleEarn sDAI Vault**

First in DeFi to offer three streams of income in a perp dex vault:

1. Users can deposit $sDAI into our $msDAI Vault to become market makers of Mu.
2. Depositing into the $sDAI Vault also earns you a substantial portion of Mu's trading fees, earning trading yield.
3. Depositing into the $sDAI Vault can continue to earn a DAI Saving Rate yield on top of the Mu trading fees.

## **A Fair and Transparent CEX-Like Experience**

We are also the first to offer a pure single-token trading experience like a centralized exchange UI. When trading at Mu, you trade with $sDAI as collateral (continuing to earn your $sDAI yield even after the position opened) and provide liquidity with $sDAI (continuing to earn your sDAI yield).&#x20;

One thing we pride ourselves on is the fact that we are fair and transparent. We have a guaranteed stop loss, which the users can update during the opened position. We will not have scam wicks because we do not control the prices; we receive price feeds from the oracles we do not control. We have fixed spreads. This is important because, during high volatility, many brokers increase the bid/ask much higher, which results in your stop loss hitting without the price even moving much.

Furthermore, we only have liquidation if you hit a >90% loss, a massive difference from many protocols that liquidate at a 50% rate. Users trade directly on their wallet, which means you maintain custody of your assets. As such, we do not require KYC as we are a DEX.

All the usual CEX features will be on Mu from day one, including the partial closing of open orders. Trading should be seamless and straightforward, like Muuuu.

Join Mu today and experience its limitless potential. Enjoy the simple, secure, and cost-efficient features that Mu Exchange provides!

# Tokenomics

## What is $MU?

$MU is the governance token for the Mu.Exchange. The purpose is to create a governance token that will help decide the platform's future, but it also functions as a token that receives the revenue accrued to the platform, as stated below. You can read more about where to get $MU and other information [here](/getting-started/tokenomics/usdmu).

## Open/Close Position Fee Distribution

Currently, we charge 0.08% for both sides. The following may change in the future due to tokenomics updates or design changes; however, currently, the distribution is as follows:

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="With Referral" %}
10% will go to the referral

90% will be distributed as follows:

* 5% to the keepers
* 30% to the $msDAI vault
* 30% to $MU staking
* 35% to the Mu Exchange treasury
  {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Without Referral" %}
100% will be distributed as follows:

* 5% to the keepers
* 30% to the $msDAI vault
* 30% to $MU staking
* 35% to the Mu Exchange treasury
  {% endtab %}
  {% endtabs %}

## Liquidation Fee Distribution

They are also known as countertrade fees; most liquidation fees are shared with $msDAI vault owners.

A 5% liquidation fee will be distributed as follows:

* 5% to the keepers
* 30% to the $msDAI vault
* 30% to $MU staking
* 35% to the Mu Exchange treasury

## Funding Fee

* 80% to the counter-party
* 20% to the $msDAI vault

## Borrow Fee

* 100% to the $msDAI vault

## Governance

* Future token holders will be able to participate in governance.

{% hint style="info" %}
Total Supply: 151,400,000 $MU. This number has deep significance:

* Mu in Greek = 40
* Mu in Egyptian hieroglyphs = water
* 3.785 trillion liters of water on Earth 🌍
* Mu as a unit prefix = 10^-6 (micro)

To honor Mu's cultural and mathematical roots: 40 \* 3,785,000,000,000 / 1,000,000 = 151,400,000 $MU.
{% endhint %}

# $esMU

## Where Do I Get $esMU?

You can get $esMU by staking $MU on Mu's staking page. This will grant you $esMU tokens.

## What Is $esMU?

Escrowed MU ($esMU) is paid as emissions to staked $MU holders. $esMU can be used in two ways:&#x20;

* Staked for rewards, same as usual $MU&#x20;
* Vested to become standard $MU tokens over one year

Vesting $esMU would require locking the amount of $MU used to earn $esMU for a year. For example, if a user earns 10 $esMU through staking 100 $MU, 100 $MU must be locked to vest 10 $esMU. Similarly, if a user decides to vest 5 $esMU, only 50 $MU must be closed. Locked $MU counts as staked $MU and will continue to accrue rewards typically. Vesting occurs linearly.

## Why Is The Mechanism Like this?

The mechanism is designed to fully protect holders from mercenary capital and ensure that users who support the platform are protected, incentivized, and retain power in future governance.&#x20;

# Fjord Foundry IDO

# Getting Started On Gnosis Chain

You must set up a Web 3 wallet to start using the Mu. There are various wallet providers, but MetaMask is one of the most popular and widely used free wallet software. MetaMask is compatible with any EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) based blockchain, including Gnosis Chain. It allows you to store assets, make purchases, and connect to decentralized applications, including Mu.

MetaMask can be installed as a browser extension on PCs and an app on iOS and Android devices. It supports popular browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Opera.<br>

**MetaMask Setup**

If you're new to Gnosis Chain, follow the tutorial below to add the Gnosis Chain network to your MetaMask wallet.

To download and install MetaMask, please visit <https://metamask.io/>.<br>

**Adding Gnosis Chain to your MetaMask**

1. First, add Gnosis Chain to your MetaMask from <https://chainlist.org/chain/100>.
2. You will see a list of various RPCs that you can decide on, and click "Connect Wallet"&#x20;
3. You have successfully added Gnosis Chain to your MetaMask wallet!

**Connecting Your Wallet to Mu**

Visit our official website at [https://mu.exchange](https://docs.mu.exchange/getting-started/www.mu.exchange) and click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top right corner.

A MetaMask pop-up window will appear, requesting approval for the connection. Approve and confirm the access to complete the process.

Congratulations! You're now connected to Mu and ready to start trading!

In the next section, we will introduce various ways to bridge your assets over from other chains onto Gnosis Chain.

# What is $xDAI and $sDAI?

In short, you need both to trade on Mu.

## <mark style="background-color:green;">TLDR: You need $xDAI and $sDAI to trade on Mu.</mark>

* $xDAI - the native token of the network, is a **stablecoin** and a **gas token.**
* $sDAI - an interest-bearing **stablecoin** usable as **collateral** for trade and liquidity on Mu.
  * Address: [0xaf204776c7245bF4147c2612BF6e5972Ee483701](https://gnosisscan.io/token/0xaf204776c7245bF4147c2612BF6e5972Ee483701)

## Detailed Explanation of $xDAI and $sDAI

A detailed explanation of what xDAI and sDAI are given here by the Gnosis Chain team:

{% endembed %}

{% hint style="info" %}

## What is sDAI?

[Spark Protocol's explanation](https://docs.sparkprotocol.io/faq/dai-savings-rate-dsr#what-is-sdai):&#x20;

Savings Dai (sDAI) is an ERC-4626 representation/wrapper of DAI in the Dai Savings Rate (DSR) module. sDAI allows users to deposit DAI to receive the yield generated by the Maker protocol while still being able to transfer, stake, lend, and use it in any way they want.

“Swapping” between DAI and sDAI does not need to be done via a DEX but can be achieved by depositing and withdrawing from the DSR module.

# Already Have Assets On Other Chains?

# One Step Bridging (Easiest)

## Using the Bridge Widget on Mu Exchange (Powered by Li.Fi)

<figure><img src="https://2024118553-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fhkk24UgeI6bjHsCZu58N%2Fuploads%2FOXwPcoFlMAtF1nUGTkLO%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b3d43750-e4a2-4bae-b782-893b17a1928c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Go to Get $sDAI at the header section on the Mu Exchange page and bridge from any chain!&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2024118553-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fhkk24UgeI6bjHsCZu58N%2Fuploads%2FP8Rf3D0S0vle6FLZgyB6%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9f21db78-b420-497f-94b9-178d873723dc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

We recommend this as the bridge because you get destination gas ($xDAI) and trading collateral ($sDAI) all in one step and can immediately start trading!

Make sure you remember to add $sDAI to your wallet in two ways:

1. Add the contract address here: 0xaf204776c7245bF4147c2612BF6e5972Ee483701
2. Go to this address on Gnosis Scan - <https://gnosisscan.io/token/0xaf204776c7245bF4147c2612BF6e5972Ee483701>, and on the top right; after you click on the three dots, you will see "**Add Token to Web3 Wallet**".

<figure><img src="https://2024118553-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fhkk24UgeI6bjHsCZu58N%2Fuploads%2F3H8HxwimishDmWRBgQSn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9b295798-97a1-4384-9de6-3bb9c1959585" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gnosis Scan Website for $sDAI</p></figcaption></figure>

*Note: You must still top up $xDAI when running low on gas.*

# Alternative Bridges (Complex)

Gnosis Chain is a decentralized blockchain-driven by the community and built by Gnosis. It operates using xDAI to facilitate transactions. To participate in the Mu ecosystem, you will need both xDAI and sDAI, which can be used for minting msDAI tokens or as collateral for trades.

If you don't have any assets on Gnosis Chain, you can transfer funds using the following solutions:

## 1. Bridging From Ethereum Mainnet (Official Bridges)

There are two bridges officially supported by Gnosis Chain:

1. xDAI Bridge - <https://bridge.gnosischain.com/>
   * How to use: <https://docs.gnosischain.com/bridges/tutorials/using-xdai-bridge/>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum only
   * *Notes: Can only swap from DAI on Ethereum Mainnet to xDAI on Gnosis Chain*
2. Omnichain Bridge - <https://omni.gnosischain.com/bridge>
   * How to use: <https://docs.gnosischain.com/bridges/tutorials/using-omnibridge/>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum Only
   * *Notes: Limited to swap same assets cross-chain (i.e., ETH on Ethereum for wETH on Gnosis Chain), does not support native xDAI from DAI.*

## 2. Bridging From Other Chains

These are known cross-chain bridges and aggregators supporting bridging from other EVM chains to Gnosis Chain:

1. Jumper Exchange (By Li.Fi) - <https://jumper.exchange/exchange>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, zkSync Era, Polygon zkEVM, Base, Avalanche, Linea, Fantom, Moonriver, Moonbeam, FUSE, OKXChain, Boba, Velas, Aurora
   * *Notes: You can swap from any asset to xDAI or sDAI on Gnosis Chain!*
2. Swapr - <https://swapr.eth.limo/#/swap?chainId=100>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Polygon, Optimism, BNB Chain, zkSync Era
   * *Notes: You can swap from any asset to xDAI or sDAI on Gnosis Chain!*
3. Bungee Exchange - <https://www.bungee.exchange/>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Base, zkSync Era, Polygon zkEVM, Avalanche, Fantom, Aurora
   * *Notes: You can swap from any asset to xDAI or sDAI on Gnosis Chain!*
4. Hop Exchange - <https://hop.exchange/>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova, Base
   * *Notes: Limited to swap same assets cross-chain (i.e., ETH on Ethereum for wETH on Gnosis Chain)*&#x20;
5. Connect Network - <https://www.connext.network/>
   * Supported Chains: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum
   * *Notes: Limited to swap same assets cross-chain (i.e., ETH on Ethereum for wETH on Gnosis Chain)*&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}

## Gnosis Mainnet Faucet

Yes, you can get a small amount of xDAI free!

1. Official Faucet - <https://www.gnosisfaucet.com/>
   * The Gnosis team is generous enough to provide small amounts of xDAI tokens for users experimenting with Gnosis Chain.
2. Community-run Faucet - <https://stakely.io/en/faucet/gnosis-chain-xdai>
   * Use at your discretion.
     {% endhint %}

# Swapping or Minting $sDAI on Gnosis Chain

Once you have $xDAI, you must obtain $sDAI using two methods:

## Swapping to $sDAI

There are a few known DEXs with deep liquidity that we can swap your tokens to xDAI and sDAI.

1. Balancer - <https://app.balancer.fi/#/gnosis-chain/swap>
2. Honeyswap - <https://honeyswap.1hive.eth.limo/#/swap>

There are more DEXs, but these have the deepest liquidity on Gnosis Chain.

You should not swap all the $xDAI for $sDAI as you still need $xDAI for gas! You may need to get more xDAI for gas fees occasionally!

## Minting $sDAI using $xDAI

You can mint $sDAI directly on the Agave website here:

{% embed url="<https://agavefinance.eth.limo/sdai/>" %}
Mint $sDAI directly on Agave!
{% endembed %}

Either way, you now have both $xDAI and $sDAI, you're now ready to trade on Mu!

# Staking

# $msDAI Vault

To earn trading fees of Mu, you can stake $sDAI into our sDAI Vault, which is an $msDAI vault that receives a sizable portion of the Mu Exchange [trading fees](/getting-started/tokenomics#fee-distribution) and serves as the counterparty to all trades made on Mu:

* When traders win (positive PnL), their winnings are received from the vault.
* When traders lose (negative PnL), their losses are sent to the vault.

In exchange, by staking your $sDAI, you will receive $msDAI, representing shares of the msDAI Vault and the underlying $sDAI assets.

Collateralization of the vault depends on overall Mu Exchange traders' total Profit and Loss. Hence, if overall traders lose, the msDAI Vault will earn protocol fees plus trading yield. On the other hand, if overall traders are winning, as long as fees earned by the Mu Exchange platform are still more significant than the net winning payouts, the msDAI Vault will have a positive return.

To further protect the msDAI Vault, Mu Exchange also has maximum open interest and maximum net open interest systems with parameters that change periodically to maximize the security and protection of the vault. More details can be found in the Open Interest sections of this docs.

## **How to earn from msDAI Vault:**

1. Obtain some $xDAi for gas and connect your web3 wallet to mu.exchange. For new users, the guide can be found at [Getting Started On Gnosis Chain](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain)
2. Stake your $sDAI into our msDAI Vault via <https://www.mu.exchange/staking>.
   1. Type in the amount of $sDAI you wish to stake.
   2. Click \[Stake] and confirm the transaction on your web3 wallet.
   3. Multiple confirmations on your web3 wallet might be required, especially if it is your first time using Mu.
   4. Do pay attention to the details, including the transaction amount and gas fee, when confirming the transaction.
3. Details, including your staked amount accumulated rewards, can be found on the same webpage.

## **How to withdraw your $sDAI from the vault and how to claim the earned rewards and trading fees:**

1. All trading fees and trading yield rewards (if any) are accrued automatically back into the msDAI Vault; hence, there is nothing a user needs to do; all these will be reflected automatically in the msDAI token you hold.
2. Users can withdraw their $sDAI anytime; there is no lock-up period but a 24-hour withdrawal cooldown.
3. Withdrawal can be made on the same page where the staking was done; click the "Unstake" tab, enter the amount, and click "Unstake."
4. Confirm the transaction on your web3 wallet and pay attention to the details, including transaction amount and gas fee, when confirming the transaction.

## Understanding the Vault Mechanism

When a user enters the $msDAI pool, the $msDAI represents the current Net Asset Value (NAV). Depending on what NAV you enter and exit at would ultimately affect your position.

For example, If a user enters the vault and some traders lose money from trading or are liquidated on the platform, the NAV will increase, and the staker will profit. The opposite also holds.

# Trading

This section presents a guide on initiating and terminating trades using the Mu Exchange web application. To conduct trades through Mu, you must have the following:

* A web3 wallet (such as MetaMask) linked to the platform and xDAI tokens to cover transaction fees, and finally sDAI for trading in your wallet, which you can use as collateral. For new users, the guide can be found at [Getting Started On Gnosis Chain](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain).

# Market Hours

## <mark style="background-color:green;">**Please note that there are market hours for all markets.**</mark>

Mu Exchange follows the Pyth price feeds follow the [traditional market hours](https://www.cmegroup.com/trading-hours.html) of each asset class and will be available at the following hours:

<table><thead><tr><th width="148">Asset Class</th><th>Opening Hours</th><th>Exceptions</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Crypto</td><td>24/7</td><td>No market close</td></tr><tr><td>US Equities</td><td>Every weekday from 9.30AM ET to 4PM ET</td><td>Markets are closed on weekends, and follow <a href="https://www.nyse.com/markets/hours-calendars">NYSE Holidays &#x26; Trading Hours</a></td></tr><tr><td>FX</td><td>From Sunday 5PM ET to Friday 5PM ET</td><td>Trading continues during most US holidays</td></tr><tr><td>Metals</td><td>From Sunday 5PM ET to Friday 5PM ET</td><td>Spot gold and silver trading also follow <a href="https://www.cmegroup.com/tools-information/holiday-calendar.html">CME holiday closures</a></td></tr><tr><td>Rates</td><td>Every weekday from 8AM ET to 5PM ET</td><td>Markets are closed on weekends, and follow <a href="https://www.nyse.com/markets/hours-calendars">NYSE Holidays &#x26; Trading Hours<br></a></td></tr></tbody></table>

## Gaps

As the price of forex pairs can change while the market is closed, this can result in gaps, where the market opens at a different price than the price it closed at the last time it was open.

Due to this, we cannot guarantee stop losses, so you must be careful with keeping trades open while the market is closed. It could be liquidated because of a significant gap in the opposite direction once the market opens. It could also result in a more significant win than you initially planned, as volatility works on both sides. Please consider this when using high leverage.

# Opening Trades

To commence trading on Mu, you need to follow these steps:

1. Ensure you have added a web3 wallet with Gnosis Chain network and some $xDAI for gas and $sDAI for trading purposes. If this is your first time, you can follow the guide at [Getting Started On Gnosis Chain](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain).
2. Go to Mu.Exchange and access the app.
3. Click the wallet icon on the dashboard's top right side and link your web3 wallet to the platform. Ensure that you have selected the correct blockchain network, Gnosis Chain.
4. Click the "Trade" tab and use the left sidebar to search and select the trading pair you intend to trade. Select the star icon to add the pair to your favorites list. The trading pair parameters are available in the pair list segment.
5. Select the appropriate trade parameters, including:
   1. Trade direction: long (buy) or short (sell)
   2. Order types: Market, limit, or stop limit&#x20;
   3. Collateral: the maximum amount you are willing to undertake in case of liquidation, hence the amount you need to put in for this trade
   4. Leverage: multiplier settings
   5. Slippage (for market order): maximum slippage you are willing to take for this trade
   6. Optional stop-loss or take-profit orders
6. Place the trade by clicking the "Approve" button at the bottom and authorize the transactions on your web3 wallet. There might be multiple transactions to confirm, especially when this is your first trade (to authorize your $sDAI interaction with Mu smart contract). do pay attention to the transaction details and approve them accordingly.

# Managing Trades

To access your open position details on Mu and update TP/SL, follow these steps:

1. Once your trades are open, you can view the details of your current position under the "Open Orders" section in the dashboard. You can also access any pending limit or stop orders in the "Pending Orders" section.
2. Click on "Trade Details" below your open order in the sidebar to view and manage your stop loss/take profit.
3. Under the "Actions" section, you will see two buttons. Select the pencil icon on the right to edit your take profit or stop loss price levels.
4. You can update your take profit or stop loss price by manually inputting the targeted price level or adjusting the profit or loss percentage. Click "Confirm" to proceed with the changes and confirm them on your web3 wallet.
5. You will then receive a prompt to sign the transaction in your wallet before any updates can be made to your TP/SL levels.

# Risk Management

Risk management is a critical aspect of Mu's trading engine. The platform employs several measures to help users manage their exposure to potential risks and ensure secure trading.

One of the essential risk management features of Mu is slippage tolerance. This feature helps prevent users from receiving a higher/lower price than expected for their trades due to market fluctuations for market orders. Users can set their preferred slippage tolerance level based on the market conditions, trading pairs, token volume and their own risk apetite. If the price of a trade falls below the threshold the user sets, the transaction will be reverted, protecting users from unintended risks.

Mu's trading engine also implements circuit breakers, which help prevent extreme price fluctuations in times of high volatility. These circuit breakers automatically pause trading in certain situations, such as when the price of a token deviates significantly from its average value. This helps prevent sudden liquidity imbalances and price crashes, minimizing the risk of severe losses.

Additionally, Mu employs robust monitoring systems to detect and prevent risks such as flash loans, front-running, and other types of market manipulation. Mu's risk management team actively protects users and maintains a safe trading environment.

Users can also minimize their risk exposure by conducting thorough research, understanding the market conditions, and setting appropriate trading limits and stop-loss orders.

It is critical to note that while Mu employs several risk management measures, users should exercise their discretion when trading and understand the inherent risks involved. Conducting proper research, understanding the market conditions, and carefully considering trading risks before making any transactions is always advisable.

Mu's trading engine employs several advanced risk management features to help users trade confidently and securely. By working alongside users to mitigate risks, Mu aims to provide a reliable and efficient trading environment that promotes fair and transparent trading.

# Closing Trades

To close a trade on Mu, follow these steps:

1. Locate the trade you want to close in the "open trades" section on the dashboard.
2. On the right-hand side of the trade, click the X button.
3. Confirm the transaction using your Metamask wallet and send the transaction.
4. Wait for the confirmation of the trade closure. You will receive this confirmation in your wallet.

# Trading Engine

Mu provides users with a powerful and efficient trading engine that enables them to engage in decentralized trading seamlessly. This trading engine is designed to offer a comprehensive overview of the trading process, making it easier for users to participate in DeFi markets.

The overview of the trading engine on Mu includes several key features. Firstly, users can access a variety of token pairs, allowing them to trade between different cryptocurrencies, forex, commodities and RWA easily. The trading engine displays the available tokens and their respective fees, enabling users to make informed decisions.

Additionally, the trading engine provides real-time pricing information, showing users the current prices of tokens and their historical price charts. This data empowers users to understand the market trends and make well-informed trading decisions.

Users can also customize their trading preferences on the Mu trading engine. They can set their slippage tolerance level, which helps protect against undesirable price fluctuations during the trade execution process. Users can also adjust their gas fee preferences, allowing them to prioritize faster transactions or cost efficiency.

The trading engine on Mu ensures a seamless and user-friendly trading experience. It simplifies the trading process with our single token trading mechanism, providing real-time pricing information, and offering customizable preferences to suit individual trading needs.

It is important to note that while the trading engine on Mu aims to provide a reliable and efficient platform, there are inherent risks associated with decentralized trading. Users should always conduct thorough research, understand the potential risks, and trade responsibly.

With Mu's trading engine, users can take advantage of the decentralized finance ecosystem, navigate the market effectively, and participate in the growth of various tokens and projects.

# Fees and Spread

Fees and spreads are an essential aspect of Mu's trading engine, influencing the cost of trading and the overall user experience. Understanding these factors is crucial for users to make informed decisions.

When trading on Mu, users may encounter certain fees. These fees vary depending on the specific actions performed. For instance, users are typically charged a transaction fee for executing trades. This fee is usually a percentage of the trade value and helps cover the costs of maintaining and operating the trading platform.

In addition to transaction fees, Mu may charge fees for other actions, such as adding or removing liquidity from trading pools. These fees contribute to the overall liquidity management and incentivize users to participate in providing liquidity to the platform.

Apart from transaction fees, users should also be aware of spreads. A spread represents the difference between an asset's buying and selling prices. When trading on Mu, users may encounter spreads that result from liquidity providers' pricing and market conditions. Spreads can vary depending on the liquidity and trading volume of a particular token or trading pair. Users must consider spreads as they can affect trades' final cost and profitability.

Mu is committed to transparency when it comes to fees and spreads. Users can access real-time information about the current fees and spreads on the platform. This helps users make informed decisions and plan their trading strategies accordingly.

It is essential for users to consider fees carefully and spreads when trading on Mu. By understanding these factors and incorporating them into their trading strategies, users can optimize their trading experience and achieve their desired outcomes.

On top of that, we have Borrowing Fees, which are charged per block based on collateral. Values adjust hourly.

Overall, fees and spreads are integral components of Mu's trading engine. They play a significant role in determining the cost and profitability of trades. Mu aims to create a fair and transparent trading environment that promotes user trust and satisfaction by providing transparent information and empowering users with knowledge.

# Open Interest

Mu Exchange utilizes a fully synthetic trading model that allows for greater theoretical open interest than traditional margin models, where open interest is limited to the TVL of a Margin LP. However, Mu has imposed two maximum limits to avoid tail risks: maxOI and maxnetOI.

maxOI defines the maximum open interest for either the long or short side that the vault can handle and is revised periodically based on the TVL of mxDAI Vault. Meanwhile, maxnetOI is an additional parameter implemented for risk management purposes. It is calculated as the absolute value of Long OI minus Short OI. It limits the net market exposure for a specific asset according to the maximum market risk on each asset.

To illustrate, let's use the ETH/USD trading pair as an example. Suppose the current long open interest over the maximum open interest is 12M/16M, while the current short open interest over the total open interest is 10M/16M. Assuming the maxnetOI is set at 2M for this pair, the resulting net open interest, 12M-10M=2M, has hit the total net open interest cap. As a result, new long positions can no longer be opened. However, the vault can accommodate an additional 4M short open interest without altering long open interest.

# Funding Rate

## Funding Fee (Buy Side)

The Funding Fee (Buy Side) is charged per block based on the position size of the collateral. Traders pay to long when the rate is positive and earn when they long when the rate is negative. It is displayed as an hourly rate.

## Funding Fee (Sell Side)

The Funding Fee (Sell Side) is charged per block based on the position size of the collateral. Traders pay to short when the rate is positive and earn when they short when the rate is negative. It is displayed as an hourly rate.

# Keepers

Keepers play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the trading engine on Mu. These automated bots or software programs are responsible for monitoring the trading platform and executing transactions on behalf of users.

Keepers also play a crucial role in mitigating potential risks and abnormalities within the trading system. They monitor for any irregularities, such as slippage or manipulation attempts, and take appropriate actions to address them. This helps maintain a fair and secure trading environment for all users.

Mu encourages transparency in the keeper ecosystem. Users can access detailed reports on keeper activity to understand how these automated systems operate and contribute to the trading engine's performance.

It is important to note that while keepers are designed to automate specific processes and enhance trading efficiency, they operate within predefined parameters and algorithms set by Mu. These parameters help ensure the stability and integrity of the trading platform.

Overall, keepers are a vital component of Mu's trading engine, playing a significant role in maintaining liquidity, monitoring market conditions, executing trades, and safeguarding the trading environment. By working alongside users and other system components, keepers contribute to an optimized and seamless trading experience on Mu.

# Risks

Mu connects users with decentralized financial opportunities that offer the potential for high returns. However, it is essential to understand and acknowledge the potential risks associated with using Mu's services.

Several risks are associated with using Mu, including but not limited to market volatility, contract failure or bug, regulatory changes, and smart contract risk. Market volatility is always a risk when investing in any financial opportunity, and the cryptocurrency and DeFi markets are incredibly volatile. The value of assets can fluctuate rapidly and unpredictably.

Smart contract risk is also a significant factor in decentralized finance. While Mu conducts audits of its smart contracts to mitigate risks, there is always a possibility that bugs or vulnerabilities could be present. Users should also be aware of potential phishing scams and ensure they are on the official Mu website before entering sensitive information.

Regulatory changes can also impact the DeFi space. Governments worldwide are beginning to regulate cryptocurrencies and decentralized financial services, which could affect the future legality and availability of these services.

In addition to these risks, users should be aware of the potential dangers of staking. Staking involves locking up assets for a specific period, and while rewards may be earned, it is possible to lose the staked assets if the staking pool encounters unforeseen problems.

It is important to note that Mu does not guarantee any returns or profits, and users should conduct their research and understand the risks involved before investing. Mu is working to mitigate these risks and provide a secure and transparent platform for users, but ultimately, users are responsible for their investments.

By being aware of these risks and taking the necessary precautions, users can make informed decisions and minimize the potential impacts of any risks on their investments in Mu.

## Trading Risks

On top of the risks outlined above, please take note of the risks outlined in the trading and [market hours](https://docs.mu.exchange/trading/market-hours).

## $msDAI Vault Risks

There are risks to using the $msDAI Vault; you can refer to the explanation [here](https://docs.mu.exchange/staking/usdmsdai-vault#understanding-the-vault-mechanism).

# FAQs

1. **Which chain can I use Mu Exchange on?**
   * Mu Exchange is native only to Gnosis Chain and has decided to make Gnosis Chain our forever home.
2. **Why can't I access Mu Exchange?**
   * Unfortunately, Mu Exchange and its related websites are unavailable and not intended for any persons or corporations in the USA or any country subject to any sanctions, including those programs run by OFAC and the UNSC or any person in a restricted country.
3. **How do I get my assets over to Gnosis Chain?**
   * Please refer to our[ Getting Started On Gnosis Chain](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain) to get trading!
4. W**hat are $sDAI and $xDAI?**
   * $xDAI - the native token of the network, is a **stablecoin** and a **gas token.**
   * $sDAI - is an interest-bearing **stablecoin** usable as **collateral** for trade and liquidity on Mu.
   * Please read the doc [here](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain/what-is-usdxdai-and-usdsdai) for a more detailed description of $sDAI and $xDAI.
5. **Why can't I open a trade?**
   * Note that the minimum position size is 50 $sDAI. You can use lower leverage by using higher collateral or higher leverage and lower collateral.
6. **What is slippage?**
   * Slippage refers to the amount you would be satisfied with the price moving when opening your position. For instance, if the price were to move more than 1% while awaiting the oracle to return the price - you may be unsatisfied with that open. You can set slippage to ensure you open within the price range you are happy to, and if the price deviates from this, the trade will not open.
7. **What is price impact?**
   * This allows traders to open in extremely still, clear direction market conditions - rather than this necessitating a decrease in the maximum open interest, traders can still take advantage of these plays.
8. **Why is the coin/asset/token not listed?**
   * Coins and assets are listed when we can provide a reliable trading experience for them. This is determined based on the availability of a sufficient number of price sources and the trading volume and liquidity of the pair from the price sources.
9. **Why does the asset say "Closed"?**
   * Unlike crypto markets, forex and commodities are not open 24/7. Please read [here](/getting-started/trading/market-hours) for more information regarding trading hours.
10. **Can I go into debt?**
    * No, you cannot go into debt. You can only lose the collateral you stake. Naturally, if your position has reached a position that must be liquidated (-90%), your loss will be all your collateral. Otherwise, your gain or loss will be what is returned to you. Only put up collateral that you could afford to lose. Stop Losses and Take Profits can help you close your position where you like.
11. **Where does the collateral go when I close the position for profit/loss?**
    * To best understand this, please refer to [$msDAI Vault](/getting-started/staking/usdmsdai-vault). In short, you will always be paid out if you close in profit. You are paid out from the vault, which bears the risk as the principal counterparty to traders. If the trade is closed at a loss, you are paid out the remaining portion of your collateral from the contract, and the portion of your loss goes to the vault. Unless you have been liquidated, all collateral goes to the vault. The portion of the collateral that was your loss remains in the $msDAI vault to be used to pay out other traders.
12. **Can I use other stablecoins as collateral?**
    * You cannot. Please read [here](/getting-started/getting-started-on-gnosis-chain/swapping-or-minting-usdsdai-on-gnosis-chain) to learn how to swap to $sDAI.
13. **How do I know Mu is safe?**
    * All trades are on-chain, and all contracts are viewable with all their functions. Peckshield has audited the contracts.

      All contract upgrades are publicly announced in advance, audited, and contain time locks so that users can see the code base before they become active.&#x20;

      All contracts can be easily viewed on Gnosisscan to confirm the platform's functions.
14. **Where can I get help?**
    * Please check out our [links](/resource/links) here to contact the Mu Exchange team! We will try our best to respond as soon as possible.
15. #### **I don't see my trade in the trade history/current opened trades/closed trades; why?**
    * It takes time for block confirmations to take place. Updates are being worked on to make this instant, but until then, please be patient, and they will show up. If you run into any issues, please create a ticket on Discord.
16. #### **How do I fix RPC issues?**
    * Type in `Gnosis` on <https://chainlist.org/> and click the drop-down arrow. We recommend using [https://rpc.gnosis.gateway.fm](<https://rpc.gnosis.gateway.fm&#xA;&#xA;>) or [https://rpc.gnosischain.com](<https://rpc.gnosischain.com/&#xA;>); however, Chainlist will show you all actively working RPCs.
17. **What are block confirmations?**
    * Block confirmations are required to finalize a transaction. When you submit any transaction, you will see these being counted down in the top right of your screen.
18. **How do I update my SL or TP?**
    1. Click on the area where it says TP/SL, click on the icon below, and adjust the prices to the percentage you wish to place your SL or TP.

  * we may, from time to time, operate contests, promotions, sweepstakes or other activities or offer referral programs (“Promotions and Referrals”), which may be governed by separate terms and conditions and rules that may contain certain eligibility requirements; and you are responsible for reading all terms and conditions and rules relating to the Promotions and Referrals to determine whether you are eligible to participate; if you enter or participate in any Promotions and Referrals, then you agree to abide by and to comply with all terms and conditions and rules of such Promotions and Referrals; all Promotions and Referrals will be optional so you should not enter or participate in such Promotions and Referrals if you do not agree to abide by and comply with all such terms and conditions and rules; and
  * if you receive discounts on fees from any Promotions and Referrals that are not subject to separate terms and conditions and rules, then Mu reserves the right to add to, modify or eliminate the discounts and any other aspect of such Promotions and Referrals.

#### 7. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS

7.1. You acknowledge that certain aspects of the Services may use, incorporate or link to certain open-source components and that your use of the Services is subject to, and you will comply with, any applicable open-source licenses that govern any such open-source components (collectively, the “Open-Source Licenses”). Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you may not (a) resell, lease, lend, share, distribute, or otherwise permit any third party to use the Services; (b) use the Services for time-sharing or service bureau purposes; or (c) otherwise use the Services in a manner that violates the Open-Source Licenses.

You may not remove, obscure, or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with the Site or the Services.

7.4. The Services are non-custodial. When you deposit Digital Assets into any smart contract available on the Interface, you are not transferring Digital Assets to Mu, and you retain control over those Digital Assets at all times. The private key associated with the blockchain-based address from which you transfer Digital Assets is the only private key that can control the Digital Assets you transfer into the smart contracts available on the Interface.

#### 8. LINKS

The Services or third parties may provide, links to other World Wide Web or accessible sites, applications, or resources. You acknowledge and agree that Mu is not responsible for the availability of such external sites, applications or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. We will not be liable for any losses suffered by you resulting from any modification to any Services or from any modification, suspension or termination, for any reason, of your access to all or any portion of the Services. The following sections of these Terms will survive any termination of your access to the Site or the Services, regardless of the reasons for its expiration or termination, in addition to any other provision which by law or by its nature should survive: Section 7 and Sections 9 through Section 17.

#### 10. RISKS

· 10.1. By accessing or using the Services , you understand and agree to the inherent risks associated with cryptographic systems and blockchain-based networks; Digital Assets, including the usage and intricacies of native Digital Assets, like xDAI; smart contract-based tokens, including fungible tokens and NFTs; and systems that interact with blockchain-based networks. Mu does not own or control any of the underlying software through which blockchain networks are formed. In general, the software underlying blockchain networks are open source, such that anyone can use, copy, modify, and distribute it. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree (a) that Mu is not responsible for the operation of the blockchain-based software and networks underlying the Services, (b) that there exists no guarantee of the functionality, security, or availability of that software and networks, and (c) that the underlying blockchain-based networks are subject to sudden changes in operating rules, such as those commonly referred to as “forks,” which may materially affect the Services. Blockchain networks use public and private key cryptography. You alone are responsible for securing your private key(s). We do not have access to your private key(s). Losing control of your private key(s) will permanently and irreversibly deny you access to Digital Assets on blockchain-based networks. Neither Mu nor any other person or entity will be able to retrieve or protect your Digital Assets. If your private key(s) are lost, then you will not be able to transfer your Digital Assets to any other blockchain-based address or wallet. If this occurs, then you will not be able to realize any value or utility from the Digital Assets that you may hold.

10.2. You acknowledge and understand that the Services and your Digital Assets could be impacted by one or more regulatory inquiries or regulatory actions, which could impede or limit the ability of Mu to continue to make available our proprietary software and could impede or limit your ability to access or use the Services.

10.3. You acknowledge and understand that cryptography is a progressing field with advances in code cracking or other technical advancements, such as the development of quantum computers, which may present risks to Digital Assets and the Services, and could result in the theft or loss of your Digital Assets. To the extent possible, the smart contracts available on the Interface will be updated to account for any advances in cryptography and to incorporate additional security measures necessary to address risks presented from technological advancements, but that intention does not guarantee or otherwise ensure full security of the Services.

10.4. You understand that the blockchain technology in general remains under development, which creates technological and security risks when using the Services in addition to uncertainty relating to Digital Assets and transactions therein. You acknowledge that the cost of transacting on the blockchain is variable and may increase at any time causing impact to any activities taking place on the blockchain, which may result in price fluctuations or increased costs when using the Services. Mu is not responsible for, and is not the recipient of, any gas you pay for transacting on the blockchain.

10.5. You acknowledge that the Services are subject to flaws and that you are solely responsible for evaluating any code provided relating to the Services. This warning and other warnings that Mu provides in these Terms are in no way evidence or represent an on-going duty to alert you to all of the potential risks of utilizing the Services.

10.6. Although we intend to provide accurate and timely information and data on the Site and during your use of the Services, the Site and other information available when using the Services may not always be entirely accurate, complete, or current and may also include technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. To continue providing you with as complete and accurate information as possible, information may be changed or updated occasionally without notice, including information regarding our policies. Accordingly, you acknowledge and understand that you should verify all information before relying on it, and all decisions based on information contained on the Site or as part of the Services are your sole responsibility. No representation is made as to the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness for any particular purpose of any pricing information distributed via the Site or otherwise when using the Services. Prices and pricing information may be higher or lower than prices available on platforms providing similar services.

10.7. Any use or interaction with the Services requires a comprehensive understanding of applied cryptography and computer science to appreciate the inherent risks, including those listed above. You represent and warrant that you possess relevant knowledge and skills. Any reference to a type of Digital Asset on the Site or otherwise during the use of the Services does not indicate our approval or disapproval of the technology on which the Digital Asset relies, and should not be used as a substitute for your understanding of the risks specific to each type of Digital Asset.

10.8. Use of the Services in particular for entering into Perpetual Contracts may carry financial risk. Digital Assets, especially in connection with Perpetual Contracts, are, by their nature, highly experimental, risky, and volatile. Transactions entered into in connection with the Services are irreversible, final and there are no refunds. You acknowledge and agree to access and use the Services at your own risk. The risk of loss in trading Digital Assets, especially entering into Perpetual Contracts, can be substantial. You should, therefore, carefully consider whether such trading is suitable for you in light of your circumstances and financial resources. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you have been, are, and will be solely responsible for making your independent appraisal and investigations into the risks of a given transaction and the underlying Digital Assets, including Perpetual Contracts. You represent that you have sufficient knowledge, market sophistication, professional advice, and experience to evaluate the merits and risks of any transaction conducted with the Services or any Digital Asset. You accept all consequences of using the Services, including the risk that you may lose access to your Digital Assets indefinitely. All transaction decisions are made solely by you. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms, we accept no responsibility whatsoever for and will in no circumstances be liable to you for any loss or injury sustained by you or any third parties in connection with, your use of the Services for performing Digital Asset transactions, including entering into Perpetual Contracts.

10.9. We must comply with Applicable Law, which may require us to, upon request by government agencies, take certain actions or provide information. You acknowledge and understand that Mu may in its sole discretion take any action it deems appropriate to cooperate with government agencies or comply with Applicable Law.

10.10. You understand that the Mu Exchange remains under development, which creates technological, trading, and other risks when using the Services. These risks include, among others, delays in trades, withdrawals, and deposits resulting from the servers of Mu or the operator of the Services being offline; an incorrect display of information on the Site in the case of server errors; or transactions using the Services being rolled back in the case of server errors. You acknowledge that these risks may have a material impact on your transactions using the Services, which may result in, among other things, failing to fulfill transactions at your desired price or at all.

10.11. You understand that you are responsible for all trades you place, including any erroneous orders that may be filled. We do not take any action to resolve erroneous trades that result from your errors.

10.12. You hereby assume the risks set forth in this Section 10 and Section 2, and acknowledge and agree that Mu will have no responsibility or liability for the risks set forth in this Section 10. To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, you hereby irrevocably waive, release and discharge all claims, whether known or unknown to you and whether existing presently or in the future, against Mu and our shareholders, members, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, suppliers, and contractors (“Representatives”) related to any of the risks set forth in this Section 10 and Section 2.

#### 11. INDEMNIFICATION

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mu and our Representatives (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) from any claim, demand, lawsuit, action, proceeding, investigation, liability, damage, loss, cost or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to (a) your use of, or conduct in connection with the Services; (b) Digital Assets associated with your blockchain-based address; (c) any feedback or user content you provide to Mu, if any, concerning the Services; (d) your violation of these Terms; or (e) your infringement or misappropriation of the rights of any other person or entity. If you are obligated to indemnify any Indemnified Party, Mu (or, at our sole discretion, the applicable Indemnified Party) will have the right, in our or its sole discretion, to control any action or proceeding and to determine whether Mu wishes to settle, and if so, on what terms, and you agree to cooperate with Mu in the defense.

#### 12. DISCLOSURES; DISCLAIMERS

12.1 Mu is a developer of software. Mu does not operate a Digital Asset or derivatives exchange platform or offer trade execution or clearing services and has no oversight, involvement, or control concerning your transactions using the Services. All transactions between users of the Interface are executed peer-to-peer directly between the users’ blockchain-based addresses through a smart contract. You are responsible for complying with all Applicable Laws that govern your Digital Assets. No Blocked Person may enter into Perpetual Contracts using the Services.

12.2 You understand that Mu is not registered or licensed by any regulatory agency or authority. No such agency or authority has reviewed or approved the use of the Services.

12.3 To the maximum extent permitted under Applicable Law, the Services (and any of their content or functionality) provided by or on behalf of us are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, and we expressly disclaim, and you hereby waive, any representations, conditions or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, legal, statutory or otherwise, or arising from statute, otherwise in law, course of dealing, or usage of trade, including the implied or legal warranties and conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, quality or fitness for a particular purpose, title, security, availability, reliability, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and non-infringement of third party rights. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not represent or warrant that the Services (including any data relating thereto) will be uninterrupted, available at any particular time, or error-free. Further, we do not warrant that errors in the Services are correctable or will be correctable.

12.4 You acknowledge that data you provide while accessing or using the Services may become irretrievably lost or corrupted or temporarily unavailable due to a variety of causes, and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted under Applicable Law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by denial-of-service attacks, software failures, viruses or other technologically harmful materials (including those which may infect your computer equipment), protocol changes by third-party providers, Internet outages, force majeure events or other disasters, scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, or other causes either within or outside of our control.

#### 13. LIMITATION OF DAMAGES; EXCLUSION OF CONSEQUENTIAL AND RELATED DAMAGES

13.1 Without limitation of any other provision of these Terms, you hereby agree that neither Mu nor any of its Representatives will have any responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss or injury sustained by you or any third parties as a result of (i) any equipment or technology or other infrastructure delay, inaccessibility, or malfunctions; (ii)periodic maintenance procedures or repairs that Mu or any of our suppliers or contractors may undertake from time to time; (iii) causes beyond Mu’s control or that Mu could not reasonably foresee; (iv) disruptions and temporary or permanent unavailability of underlying blockchain infrastructure; or (v) unavailability of third-party service providers or external partners for any reason. Under no circumstances will Mu or its Representatives have any liability for any such loss or injury caused by any of the foregoing events, including but not limited to any obligation to cover or reimburse any damages or losses caused by such events. You expressly acknowledge that any risk of loss resulting from such events shall be borne by you, and you expressly assume any and all such risks.

13.2 In no event will Mu, our suppliers and contractors, and Mu’s or our suppliers’ and contractors’ respective stockholders, members, directors, officers, managers, employees, attorneys, agents, representatives, suppliers and contractors (collectively, the “Risk Limited Parties”) be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, punitive, consequential or similar damages or liabilities whatsoever (including damages for loss of fiat, assets, data, information, revenue, opportunities, use, goodwill, profits or other business or financial benefit) arising out of or in connection with the Services (and any of their content and functionality), any execution or settlement of a transaction, any performance or non-performance of the Services, your Digital Assets, Perpetual Contracts or any other product, service or other item provided by or on behalf of Mu, whether under contract, tort (including negligence), civil liability statute strict liability breach of warranties or under any other theory of liability and whether or not we have been advised of, knew of or should have known of the possibility of such damages and, notwithstanding any failure of the essential purpose of these Terms or any limited remedy hereunder, nor is Mu in any way responsible for the execution or settlement of transactions between users of the Services.

#### 14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Without limitation of any provision of these Terms, in the event that Mu or any related party is found liable under these Terms, the aggregate liability of Mu (together with our equity owners, members, directors, managers, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, representatives, suppliers, or contractors), arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services (and any of their content and functionality), any performance or nonperformance of the Services, your Digital Assets, Perpetual Contracts or any other product, service or other item provided by or on behalf of Mu, whether under contract, tort (including negligence), civil liability, statute, strict liability or other theory of liability, will not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to Mu under these Terms, if any, in the two (2) month period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim for liability.

#### 15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION CAREFULLY BECAUSE IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO BRING A LAWSUIT AGAINST Mu IN ANY COURT OR GOVERNING AUTHORITY. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED BELOW, THIS SECTION REQUIRES YOU TO SUBMIT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR DISAGREEMENT (EACH A “DISPUTE”) ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY DISPUTE THAT AROSE BEFORE THE EFFECTIVE DATES OF THESE TERMS, TO BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION. THIS SECTION EXTENDS TO DISPUTES THAT AROSE OR INVOLVE FACTS OCCURING BEFORE THE EXISTENCE OF THIS OR ANY PRIOR VERSIONS OF THE TERMS AS WELL AS DISPUTES THAT MAY ARISE AFTER THE TERMINATION OF THE TERMS.

You and Mu agree that any Dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services is personal to you and Mu and that any Dispute will be resolved solely through individual arbitration, and will not be brought as a class arbitration, class action, or any other type of representative proceeding.

Nothing in this Section precludes you or Mu from bringing an individual action for damages in a small claims court if such claims qualify and remain in small claims court, or from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court for infringement or other alleged misuse of intellectual property rights (such as trademarks, trade dress, domain names, trade secrets, copyrights, and patents).

Except as specified above, you and Mu waive your rights to a judge or jury trial or to have any Dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services resolved in court. Instead, for any Dispute that you have against Mu or relating in any way to the Services, you agree first to contact Mu and attempt to resolve the claim informally by sending a written notice of your claim (“Notice”) to Mu by email at <legal@Mu.exchange>. The Notice must (a) include your name, residential address, email address, and telephone number; (b) describe the nature and basis of the claim; and (c) set forth the specific relief sought. Our notice to you will be similar in form to that described above. If you and Mu cannot reach an agreement to resolve the claim within thirty (30) days after such Notice is received, then either party may submit the Dispute to binding arbitration administered by LCIA or, under the limited circumstances set forth above, in court. All Disputes submitted to the LCIA will be resolved through confidential, binding arbitration before one arbitrator. Arbitration proceedings will be held in a location designated by Mu in our sole discretion, under the LCIA Rules. The most recent version of the LCIA Rules are hereby incorporated by reference. You either acknowledge and agree that you have read and understand the LCIA Rules or waive your opportunity to read the LCIA Rules and waive any claim that the LCIA Rules are unfair or should not apply for any reason.

The arbitrator, Mu, and you will maintain the confidentiality of any arbitration proceedings, judgments and awards, including all information gathered, prepared, and presented for purposes of the arbitration or related to the dispute(s) therein. The arbitrator will have the authority to make appropriate rulings to safeguard confidentiality unless the law provides to the contrary. The duty of confidentiality does not apply to the extent that disclosure is necessary to prepare for or conduct the arbitration hearing on the merits, in connection with a court application for a preliminary remedy or in connection with a judicial challenge to an arbitration award or its enforcement, or to the extent that disclosure is otherwise required by law or judicial decision.

You and Mu agree that for any arbitration you initiate, you will pay the filing fee and all other arbitration fees and costs. For any arbitration initiated by Mu, Mu will pay all arbitration fees and costs. You and Mu agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over the enforcement of an arbitration award.

Notwithstanding any other limitations under Applicable Law, any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be filed within six (6) months after such claim arose; otherwise, the claim is permanently barred, which means that you and Mu will not have the right to assert the claim.

If any portion of this Section 15 is found to be unenforceable or unlawful for any reason, (a) the unenforceable or unlawful provision will be severed from these Terms; (b) severance of the unenforceable or unlawful provision will have no impact whatsoever on the remainder of this Section 15 or the parties’ ability to compel arbitration of any remaining claims on an individual basis under this Section 15; and (c) to the extent that any claims must therefore proceed on a class, collective, consolidated, or representative basis, such claims must be litigated in a civil court of competent jurisdiction and not in arbitration, and the parties agree that litigation of those claims will be stayed pending the outcome of any individual claims in arbitration. Further, if any part of this Section 15 is found to prohibit an individual claim seeking public injunctive relief, then that provision will have no effect to the extent such relief is allowed to be sought out of arbitration, and the remainder of this Section 15 will be enforceable.

#### 16. GOVERNING LAW

The interpretation and enforcement of these Terms, and any Dispute related to these Terms or the Services, will be governed by and construed and enforced under the laws of England and Wales without regard to conflict of law rules or principles that would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction. You agree that we may initiate a proceeding related to the enforcement or validity of our intellectual property rights in any court having jurisdiction. For any other proceeding that is not subject to arbitration under these Terms, the courts located in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction. You waive any objection to venue in any such courts.

The failure or delay of Mu in exercising any right, power, or privilege under these Terms will not operate as a waiver thereof.

17.4. The invalidity or unenforceability of any of these Terms will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other of these Terms, all of which will remain in full force and effect.

17.5. We will have no responsibility or liability for any failure or delay in performance of any of the Services, or any loss or damage that you may incur, due to any circumstance or event beyond our control, including any flood, extraordinary weather conditions, earthquake, or other act of God, fire, war, insurrection, riot, labor dispute, accident, action of government, communications, power failure, or equipment or software malfunction.
